Steps of Faith

 A promise from God must be:
heard, received, seen, believed and acted upon.

Faith comes by hearing the Word of God. Romans 10:17

Faith then receives the promises and takes it for use in life. John 1:12

Faith in a promise believes in it as useful and active for today. Romans 8:25

Faith sees the promise and looks to the results of the promise. Hebrews 12:1,2

Faith acts on the promise. James 2:17

Fight the Fight of Faith

Fight the fight of faith!

1 Timothy 6:12 “ Fight the good fight of faith; take hold of the eternal life to which you were called, and you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.”

To fight in faith is to believe the promises of the Bible and not your doubt. Reject doubt and believe the promises God has promised you. The way I do this is explained in 2 Cor 10:3-5

2 Corinthians 10:3-5 “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh, 4 for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. 5 We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ,”

Speculations, lofty things against God's knowledge, thoughts against the Bible promises.

So instead of letting the above objections to the promises, God has promised you, rule your mind. Let the word of God richly dwell in you. Colossians 3:16. Think on the good news of the gospel Philippians 4:8. Say to your mind, no this doubt is wrong I believe what God has promised me.

Pray with supplication and thanksgiving, over your doubt Philippians 4:6, receive the peace flowing from this prayer, Philippians 4:7. Continue to guard your heart and mind. Philippians 4:8 and follow the example of those who have shown you the victory of faith in Christ Philippians 4:9

Tell others what Jesus is doing for you. 1 Tim 6:12; Rev 12:11

Listen to God

“Lord, teach me to close my mouth. I love to preach; You’ve given me opportunities to teach; I’m called on to dispense advice and counsel. But the sitting in silence before You, with my mouth closed–I don’t do nearly enough of that. Amen.”

Bone Strength

Bone Strength

Promise to those who help the poor.

Isaiah 58:10,11 "And if you give yourself to the hungry
And satisfy the desire of the afflicted,
Then your light will rise in darkness
And your gloom will become like midday.
11 And the Lord will continually
guide you,
And satisfy your desire in scorched places,
And give strength to your bones;
And you will be like a watered garden
And like a spring of water whose waters do
not fail."

Spending time with God brings healing.

Isaiah 66:12-14 "For thus says the Lord, “Behold, I extend peace to her like a river,
And the glory of the nations like an overflowing stream;
And you will be nursed, you will be carried on the hip and fondled on the knees.
13 “As one whom his mother comforts, so I will comfort you;
And you will be comforted in Jerusalem.”
14 Then you will see this, and your heart will be glad,
And your bones will flourish like the new grass;
And the hand of the Lord will be made known to His servants,
But He will be indignant toward His enemies."

Proverbs 3:5"Trust in the Lord with all your heart
And do not lean on your own understanding.
6 In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He will make your paths straight.
7 Do not be wise in your own eyes;
Fear the Lord and turn away from evil.
8 It will be healing to your body
And refreshment to your bones.

Job 21:24 "His sides are filled out with fat,
and the marrow of his bones is moist,"

Prov 15:30 Bright eyes gladden the heart and
good news puts fat on the bones.

Proverbs 16:24 "Pleasant words are a
honeycomb, Sweet to the soul and healing to
the bones."

Proverbs 17:22 "A joyful heart is good
medicine, but a broken spirit dries up the
bones.

Proverbs 4:20 "My son, give attention to my words;
Incline your ear to my sayings.
21 Do not let them depart from your sight;
Keep them in the midst of your heart.
22 For they are life to those who find them
And health to all their body."

Confessing the word of God is a good way to build strength in the spirit and repel the work of the enemy.

Rev 12:11 and they overcame him, because of the blood of the lamb, the word of their testimony and they did not love their life even unto death.

We change the course of our life with our tongue. We can also set our life on a course for destruction by our speech.

James 3:4-6 Look at the ships also, though they are so great and are driven by strong winds, are still directed by a very small rudder wherever the inclination of the pilot desires.
5 So also the tongue is a small part of the body, and yet it boasts of great things. See how great a forest is set aflame by such a small fire!
6 And the tongue is a fire, the very world of iniquity; the tongue is set among our members as that which defiles the entire body, and sets on fire the course of our life, and is set on fire by hell.

Proverbs 12:18 "There is one who
speaks rashly like the thrusts of a sword,
But the tongue of the wise brings healing."

We can set the course of our life by our statements.

Job 22:27-29 “You will pray to Him, and He will hear you;
And you will pay your vows.
28 “You will also decree a thing, and it will be established for you;
And light will shine on your ways.
29 “When you are cast down, you will speak with confidence,
And the humble person He will save.”

Pulverize our problems with the word of God.

Isaiah 41:15 “Behold I have made you a new sharp threshing sledge with double edges; you will thresh the mountains and pulverize them, and make the hills like chaff.” The bible has been refereed to as a 2 edged sword, Hebrews 4:12; Rev 19:15; Jesus is the Word John 1:1. Mountains are a type of problems.
Mark 11:23

Lord I pray for our bones to be strong and the pain to leave our bones, joints, ligaments. Thank you Jesus. Thank you for a health body to live life to the fullest.

America's Fatal Mistake

After church I sat and watched this whole video.

I knew of this kind of thing but not any of the particulars. This was very good, opening the Bible and presenting a case by case explanation of why God is now judging America.

I often wondered if God was actively judging or were events just going against us. This video shows what is happening is not just chance.

If you accept the Bible, you won't neglect spending the time to watch this.
