The 7 actions of Psalm 91

The promises of Psalm 91 are not given to all. They are given to the people that are described in the Psalm. Reading the Psalm shows what we can do to become part of this protection God is offering.

It is not because I keep all the requirements that God answers me. It is because I have faith in the righteousness of Jesus Philippians 3:9 that His promise is sure. I have faith in Jesus that he will keep His word to me. His promises are guaranteed.

Romans 4:16 “For this reason it is by faith, in order that it may be in accordance with grace, so that the promise will be guaranteed to all the descendants, not only to those who are of the Law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all,”

Where we live speaks volumes about us. It talks about our values our personality our ability and our life and how we live it.

Where we live shows where we work. We are identified with that part of the country. A person living in Indiana is called a Hosier.
Israel's tribes lived in different parts of Israel.

4 areas of abiding
1 Read/Study
Daily devotions. Reading the Bible and listening to the Holy Spirit in your reading.
2 Pray/Seek
Stay in the Word with an attitude of prayer. John 5:39,40; Eph 6:17,18
Pray. Commune with God about your day and about your needs.
Seek God for His direction for you. Eph 2:10
3 Worship God for His goodness.
4 Serve God by bearing fruit. 1 Cor 15:58

In the shadow speaks of being right next to God. Where He goes we go. When He stops we stop. We are right with Him. To stay in His shadow is to know His movements. To know His plans for us.
Ps 23 Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death. I will fear no evil. For God is with us. We don't go through the valley alone. God is walking right with us, we are under His shadow when we go through the valley.

God's light causes a shadow. There can be no shadow if there is no light.

What we say reveals what is in our heart.
A slip of the tongue is a look into the heart.
We can change our heart by what we say. We can set the tone of our life by what we say if we believe and desire what we say.
