Romans 8:4

"So that the requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit."

We have all the blessings of the law of Deut 28 and are protected from all the curses. Gal 3:13

These blessings are for the purpose of expanding the kingdom of God Deut 8:18. If we don't get our prayers answered we could be in James 4:3,4 having our eyes on ourselves and not being a friend of God. Another aspect to unanswered prayer is that we are not putting energy into it. If our heart is in it we will expend energy to gain what God is leading us to. When we truly believe Jesus and what He has called us to do no demon from hell can stop us. Don't give up but keep praying, knocking and seeking. Matthew 7:7-8; 1 Corinthians 15:58

To walk according to the Spirit is to walk in faith in the direction from the Word of God to us in the work we have to do. We don't just think about it and talk about it but we also dream of it and follow the directions we have.

We can walk in the blessing as we walk with Christ.

When we are living under condemnation we are self absorbed in our inability to measure up. When we know we are justified we are free to step out and advance the gospel and build for Christ the kingdom of God.

To renew our mind is to renew our mind, see, consider, accept and live by the Scripture. It is to believe God. To not worry about things counter to Scripture. It is to believe God. To worry about things counter to Scripture means our minds aren't renewed. Turn your worry to prayer. Don't let your worry win. Instead, pray over God's promises till you are assured that God will fulfill what He said He will do.

Living Free From the Law of Sin and of Death -

1. We are justified in Christ. (Acts 13:38-39 Galatains 2:16)
We testify to others that we are free from the condemnation of sin.
Colossians 2:14 “having canceled out the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us, which was hostile to us; and He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.” Our debt is paid and we can walk free.

2. We are free from sin and death (Romans 8:2)
Sin has no power over us. Romans 6:14 There is no sting in death. 1 Corinthians 15:55 When our body stops living we are with Jesus. There is no fear of death and we can live without sin.

Be careful about bragging on yourself. I heard of a guy that said he did not sin. Yet he was not loving to his wife. That is ridiculous. We should not say we have no sin. 1 John 1:8-10 Instead we should point to Jesus and how He is helping us. Never focus on yourself, instead focus on Jesus.

3. Free from condemnation (Romans 8:1-4
Our past is gone. God does not remember our past and we can live with the understanding that the past won't stop what God wants to do through us today.

4. Redeem (Romans 3:24-31; Galatians 3:13-14)
We are no longer living under the curse. We can by faith, turn from the domain of darkness and live in the light of God and His Kingdom of light.

5. Give inheritance (Romans 4:13-14)
We are born again and with this new birth we have an inheritance that we can access today. I will get to this more in verse 17.

6. Bring righteousness (Romans 8:4)
Knowing we are in right standing with God. And this confidence with God brings us to works for God according to our response of that to His Word and guidance.

7. Impart Holy Spirit (Galatians 3:2)
We have the Holy Spirit when we were born again. Ephesians 1:13. Then with a second experience we have the baptism in the Holy Spirit. Acts 1:8; Acts 2:4

8. Preform miracles  (Galatians 3:5)
To walk with God miracles are required. What??  Jesus tells the disciples to raise the dead in Matthew 10:8. But we can't do that! The ability is with the Spirit not us. It is as we learn to let the Spirit of God move through us that the power will flow. This is not a condemnation that we can't accomplish this. It is a hope that God can do it through us as we allow His power to flow. Always look at Scripture as hope for what God will do through us. Not as condemnation of what we are not doing. Again it is focusing on Jesus and not ourselves.

9. Free from the curse ( Galatians 3:10-14)
In my nature hikes there are many obstacles. I am free from the curse and can navigate through the woods by the Spirit of God. We can go through the obstacles of life with God, and accomplish what He has for us.

10. Impart grace Galatians 5:4)
Grace is God's ability freely given to us. And how do we get this grace? Through prayer Hebrews 4:16; and through the Scriptures.

Acts 20:32
"And now I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and to give you the inheritance among all those who are sanctified.”

11. Impart faith (Galatians 3:12)
Faith comes from the word. Romans 10:17 Faith comes from God. Romans 12:3; 2 Peter 1:1. All of us have faith and we can use it as we look to Jesus.

12. Make perfect (Hebrews 7:19)
We are perfect because of the Scriptures clean us and Jesus paid it all. John 15:3; Colossians  2:14

13. Control sin in man (Romans 7:7-23; Romans 8:2, 7)
There is a new and living way. We are free now to put our mind on the things of the Spirit and not the flesh.

14. Enable a man to obey (Hebrews 7:18)
It is through Christ we can do what God is calling us to do. Philippians 4:13
